Two offices of the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality were closed yesterday due to employees testing positive for Covid-19.
“Members of the public are kindly informed to note that the municipal head office in Bushbuckridge and the Maviljan Regional Office will both be closed from today (yesterday) due to reported Covid-19 cases. The offices are closed for all the fumigation processes to take place and to prevent further spread of the pandemic,” said Claiton Khosa, the spokesperson for the municipality.
Khosa added that essential work of the municipality will not be halted, as workers will attend to all emergencies when required to do so.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this period and wish the employees who tested positive a speedy recovery,” Khosa said.
He also urged all the municipal staff members to continue observing Covid-19 regulations.
