Standard Bank has donated PPEs to the Bushbuckridge Local municipality on the 17 July 2020. The handover was done in the presence of the Executive Mayor of Bushbuckridge Cllr
Sylvia Nxumalo, where she thanked standard Bank for the donation they had made at Bushbuckridge local municipality.
She said during this time of the pandemic we have to fight it together, and that all the stakeholders must also come together and adhere to all the precautionary measures of washing their hands, sanitize, wear a face mask and also maintain social distance all the time.
She further said on behalf of the Bushbuckridge local municipality will pass on the teachings and training about COVID-19 to our communities and children at home and to remain safe always.
The Mayor encouraged the standard Bank to keep on giving to the people it must not end there. She further said, “We as the Bushbuckridge local municipality we will also ensure that we cascade and give the products to others.
Since the virus has moved to schools, we will always urge everyone to protect themselves. As Bushbuckridge local municipality we saying “ Ku kudya iku engeta.” Concluded the Mayor.
Tshidi Scharer the director from Ntataise Lowveld said that Standard Bank approached them as a service provider to help them with the delivery and they are very fortunate to have been part of these big operations of donation. She said they specialize in early childhood development in the regions of Mbombela, Inkomazi and Bushbuckridge these are the places they usually operating
She further said that as an NGO their job is to get funding from sponsors such as standard Bank and individuals who donates towards their early childhood development. The program is meant to level the playing group so that those children from rural areas can go to Nelspruit Primary School and be accommodated and feel confident like any other children.
