The MEC OF Community Safety, Security and Liaison in Mpumalanga, Vusi Shongwe has called on the police to work around the clock in order to urgently arrest suspects linked to the killing of a police officer attached to the Tactical Response Team (TRT) in Witbank.
According to a police statement, the victim was shot at his home over the weekend. The police received a call about one of the SAPS members being shot and efforts were made to rush the deceased to the hospital but he sadly succumbed.
