Spar donated food to the matric learners of NP Mathabela Secondary school in Greenvalley as a way of encouraging them to attend their winter classes yesterday.
Dolly Nkosi from SUPERSPAR said they felt the need for them as Spar to give back to the community as part of their campaign helping the communities of Acornhoek. “We are grateful to make donation because it is important for us to encourage our learners to give more effort to their school work because without education they are going nowhere.”
Mr D Mokgakane, the Principal of the school thanked the Spar their support to their pupils as they will be having their camp, he also mentioned that it is not the last camp but they are still going to have another one in September and in October.
Quinton Mlambo, a grade 12 pupil also thanked Spar and showed excitement on behalf of the matriculates for what has been done for them, he promised Spar management that on behalf of grade 12 they are going to work hard on their exams so that spar can give them bursaries, he also begged Spar management to do it more often to other schools because it is hard to study on a empty stomach..
