The police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for three suspects involved in a house robbery in which two men, aged 22 and 39 were murdered last week in Majembeni Trust, near Bushbuckridge.
It is alleged that at about 7 o’clock in the evening, three armed men stormed into a certain house in Majembeni Trust, they went to the back room and held a 22-year-old man at gunpoint. They then instructed him to knock at the door of the main house and when the door was opened, the suspects fatally shot the 39-year-old owner as well as his 22-year-old employee.
The suspects reportedly left the victims lying on the floor and proceeded to the house where they found the owner’s wife. According to information, the suspects demanded cash and ransacked the house. They damaged the ceiling, took a TV set, car keys as well as an undisclosed amount of cash then got away in the victim’s gold VW Golf 4, registration number: HGB436MP.
Police and emergency services were notified about the incident and upon arrival, the two men were certified dead at the scene. A case of murder and robbery was opened, hence the manhunt.
