Swallows FC will not revisit the idea of signing Tiyani Mabunda from Mamelodi Sundowns as the midfielder continues to go without game-time. Mabunda was set to join the Dube Birds during the past transfer window on loan from Sundowns but could not match his salary.
‘Shuga’ is yet to kick a soccer ball for The Brazilians this season. Swallows boss David Mogashoa says his team will not be signing or releasing any players during the current transfer window period.
“We are not releasing any player. We are also not signing any player. The issue of signing Mabunda, we went past it during the last transfer window,” Mogashoa tells KickOff.com.
Mabunda has since been linked with a move overseas.
Swallows made more than 15 new signings at the start of the season and are third on the DStv Premiership table, five points behind Sundowns with a game in hand.
