As reported previously, PSETA left their head offices in Gauteng to visit the Vusheni Learning Academy in Mbombela earlier today as part of their monitoring following complaints from learners under the Public Administration learnership about outstanding stipend payments for about 50 learners from around Bushbuckridge.
It has been confirmed that PSETA paid the academy fully in advance after awarding them a grant as a certified Skills Development service providers, however, the worried learners say they haven’t been paid for between 2-3 months, with the leader, Colly Shilubani, nowhere to be found. The learnership beneficiaries say they’re also worried about whether they’ll receive their certificates for the course or not.
Vusheni has been reluctant in their efforts to communicate their side of the story with Bushbuckridge News.
PSETA say they will take further steps to rectify the situation.
It is believed that VLA relocated from their offices at the Promenade shopping centre due to rental issues.
